New Age spirituality'll get you every time

The New York Times is reporting on the go-between that helped sink John Edwards: "It was the encounter that would unceremoniously hoist former Senator John Edwards’s extramarital affair into full public view: a visit last month with the woman and her baby in a hotel room in Beverly Hills, California, where Mr. Edwards was confronted by reporters for The National Enquirer as he tried to leave the building. At the center of that meeting at the Beverly Hilton was Robert McGovern, a California resident described as a spiritual healer of twenty years and a friend and former associate of the woman with whom Mr. Edwards has admitted having the affair, Rielle Hunter... The Web site Margaretsweet.com, which promotes spirituality and New Age practices, recently carried a brief biography of Mr. McGovern, describing him as 'an intuitive' and 'a healer since 1988' who had worked 'with energy in the area of the emotional fields'. (The biography is no longer on the site; Rico wonders why.) “He uses philosophy, psychology, and the intuitive to find resolutions that move people back into alignment with the universe and into a place of peace, harmony, and joy,” the site said. “Bob uses the intuitive to help people with a variety of life issues, including relationships, career, and health.”

Rico says Edwards should've said 'intuit this, motherfucker", and clocked the guy...
