Stupid hardware for the day

Rico says he knows it's a life-saving thing, but his ResMed CPAP mask came apart, yet again, at 0200 this morning. You'd think it would be a simple thing to reassemble, but it's not, and Rico is really pissed about it. (The fact that their website insisted that he allow them to contact him pissed him off, too.) If Rico dies from sleep apnea (hey, it sounds funny, but it's not), have the lawyers contact ResMed at 800.424.0737 and sue their asses off...

Rico is a smart guy, good with his hands, and used to build plastic models when he was a kid, and it still took him an hour to get the damn mask reassembled with a new cushion; don't think they're not gonna hear about that in a couple of hours (they're in San Diego, California, you see, thus three hours behind; Rico would offer to come visit, next time he's out seeing his dad, but they'd probably interpret that, correctly, as a threat)... (And they were lucky that the fiancé was away last night, so they didn't have to hear her screaming in the background, either.)

Rico says he used to wear a truly full-face mask (above), but Apria stopped carrying it awhile back, so Rico was forced to go to what they call a full-face mask (top). A phone call to them revealed that, surprise, surprise, they're now carrying it again, so Rico is happily returning to it...
