15 April 2015

The cutest thing ever

StumbleUpon has an article by Robert Anthony from Envision about Corgis:
What does 11 April mean to you? This year, it meant a whole lot more than Coachella to some people.
If you happened to be a corgi dog owner in the Southern California area, you probably did what most local corgi owners did: you attended SoCal Corgi Beach Day, of course!
It’s the one day a year, known as Corgichella, when corgis and their owners gather on Huntington Beach for a long, beautiful day in the sun. The end result? Pure awesomeness. I mean, what do you expect when over five hundred bubbly corgis come together to splash around in the ocean and play in the sand?! Now, not everyone had the chance to make it to this awesome, fun-filled event, but, thanks to the Internet, you can scroll through an endless amount of photos using the #SoCalCorgiBeachDay hashtag and feel like you went.
Corgi Beach Day is when all of the corgis who happen to be in the Southern California area come together and party on the beach. This was the ninth year in a row, and it was awesome. I mean, who wouldn’t want to spend their Saturday having some fun in the sun while their dog makes friends left and right?!
The pups did everything from being buried up to their necks in sand to splashing around in the ocean with other furry friends. When the corgis weren’t splashing around and playing in the sand, they were simply tanning and enduring all of the well-earned attention.
After a long day at the beach with everyone, it was time to wind down until next year.
Rico says his mother had a Corgi when he was in high school (it died, alas; a sad day), and they are damned cute...
