Guys with patches

The guy wearing a patch (on the left in the photo) is an Italian officer, played by Sergio Fantoni, in Von Ryan's Express, a 1965 movie starring (in a non-singing role) Frank Sinatra, who played Colonel Joseph Ryan (photo, center). The Italian general on the right was played by Adolfo Celi, whose IMDB photo has him wearing a patch, when he played Emilio Largo in Thunderball:
