Rico says he couldn't remember when this all started, but it was in early 2006, it appears, when Rico was still (sort of) a virgin:

Blogging virgin that I am (though hardly that in almost any other respect), this one will be short. I've had monthly columns before, and they're hard because you have to write enough words to fill the space. We shall see how this experiment turns out.
