Safe as houses

Seems that Prince Harry was in a dangerous corner of the war in Afghanistan, near Helmand, and stationed within sight of a 19th century British fort (the last time they were in Afghanistan); his position was "under attack several times a day from rocketpropelled grenades, mortar shells and machinegun fire".
But he was altogether safe, if in relative danger, because he was serving with B Company, 1st Battalion, The Royal Gurkha Rifles. These are lads who take their job very very seriously:
From a Times on-line article: "Dirty, unshaven, and in the middle of a battlefield, the Prince, it seems, has found a measure of internal peace."
