Olympics at the South Pole? Why not?

A Sports Illustrated column discusses the difficulties of holding the Olympics in any country on earth, given the political situations that humans find themselves in every four years: "If avoiding political fallout is the ideal, it's too bad they can't just hold the damned games in a neutral site, like the South Pole."

Rico says the South Pole would be good for the Winter Olympics, but hard on the track & field and swimming teams...
