Seems the Texas and Ohio debacle wasn't as bad, as far as delegates go, as we'd feared. According to CNN, Obama is leading, if barely, 1451 to 1365.
There's a long way to go, unfortunately, before the convention, and it turns out that Rico, having registered as an independent, can't affect either party's candidate in the upcoming Pennsylvania primary.
Interestingly, if you roll over the states in that map on the CNN site (great on-line tool, by the way), the only state where voters got out of the 50% range for Hillary was, no surprise, Arkansas. The rest are all in the less-than-a-stinging-victory 49% to 58% range, with some down in the thirties (just more than Obama, which is all it takes). But when Idaho, which is about as white-bread as it gets, goes 79% for Obama, you know something's up.
Rico says her voice still "sounds like a shovel hitting a rock", and he doesn't want to hear it for the next four years...
