At least someone has a conscience

The president of France has said he won't attend the opening ceremony of the Olympics unless the Chinese open a dialog with the Dalai Lama over the trouble in Tibet.
While his absence will likely be little noticed by the Chinese, at least he's trying.

Rico says we should all boycott the Games, and not give the Chinese a yuan for the television rights. It won't happen, but isn't it pretty to think so? (Gratuitous quote from Hemingway...)
