The
BBC has an
article about dangerous invitations:
President Barack Obama and
First Lady Michelle Obama were both invited to step out and try Argentina's national dance, the
tango, at a state dinner on a visit to Argentina (photo, above).
President Barack Obama is on a whistle-stop tour of Africa, visiting Kenya and Ethiopia. It is his first trip to either country since he was elected president in 2008. He's meeting leaders of both countries to talk about serious issues, such as human rights and security, but he also has time to have a little bit of fun too.
President Obama took to the dance floor at a special dinner held in his honor in the Kenyan capital,
Nairobi, joining in the traditional
Lipala dance (photo, below):
Rico says there's the old saying that, whilst tangoing, if you get tangled up, just tango on; he doesn't know what you do with the
Lipala... (And no comments about black folks dancing, either.)
