Rico says he got
Defiance (via
Netflix) because it was
Daniel Craig, of recent
James Bond fame, but it turned out to be the true story of the
Bielski Otriad, (photo, below) a bunch of
Jews hiding in the forests of Poland and killing Germans... (And introducing the interesting concept of the 'forest wife'.)
Well acted (by both
Craig and
Liev Schreiber), and with a good script, including the great exchange: "Why is it so difficult having a Jew for a friend?" "Try
being one", and a good ending.
