Guilty as hell

Soldier of Fortune magazine has an article by Harold Hutchison of the trial of Major Nidal Hasan:

Nidal Hasan was convicted on all counts stemming from his 5 November 2009 shooting at Fort Hood, Texas. Nidal, who opened fire on troops as they were preparing to deploy to Afghanistan, killed thirteen people and wounded thirty-two.
The trial was marked both by Hasan’s refusal to mount any defense, and by the judge’s refusal to allow the prosecutors to mention Hasan’s e-mails to Anwar al-Awlaki, a high-ranking member of al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula. The first judge on the case had been removed after his order for Hasan to shave his beard was overturned.
Some of those wounded in Hasan’s rampage are suing the Obama Administration over its classification of the attack as “workplace violence” instead of being a terrorist attack. The sentencing phase of the trial is set to begin soon.

Rico says that, being the military, they'll hopefully sentence him to death by firing squad, but probably not...
