Rico says he did not see these earthworks (not very exciting, earthworks), but he did make the trek (with his mother, bless her, driving) down to Plymouth in North Carolina to see the replica of the Confederate gunboat Albemarle.
He failed to note, however, that the reconstruction was done at 3/8th scale, which only looks good at a distance...
