Fuck the peace, pass the ammunition

Rico says the problem with 'diplomacy' is that it's performed in clean, well-lighted, comfortable rooms like the one where Sarkozy met with Mubarak, and not in places where the bombs are falling, like the middle photo, much less in places that have to deal with the aftermath, like the dead kids in the bottom photo (and, no, it doesn't matter whose dead kids they are). If Sarkozy had to meet with the Israeli prime minister in some emergency room in southern Israel, or the Hamas leaders in some bombed-out hospital in Gaza, this whole thing would come to an end a lot sooner... The Israelis are getting tougher, of course:
Tzipi Livni, the Israeli foreign minister, insisted that Israel was “not only defending its right to defend itself” but was also waging a regional campaign “against extremism and against terror". Ms. Livni defended Israel’s actions in Gaza, saying Israel had acted to “change the equation” that existed before it struck against Hamas. In the past, she said, Hamas had been able to fire rockets at will and Israel showed restraint. From now on, she said, "when Israel is targeted, Israel is going to retaliate".
