The Minnesota board overseeing the U.S. Senate recount has cleared the way for counting of wrongly rejected absentee ballots in the unresolved race. The five-member Canvassing Board has recommended that county election boards sort rejected absentees to find those improperly set aside. Then, they are advised to count them. It's a boost to Democrat Al Franken, who has fought hard for their inclusion. Republican Senator Norm Coleman leads Franken in unofficial tallies. The directions are voluntary because the state board's members say they don't have the power to force counties to do it. At least 630 absentees are known to have been erroneously rejected, but state officials say it could be more than 1,500.Rico says he, for one, will be happy when this is settled, no matter who wins...
