Nice disguise; didn't work

FoxNews.com has an article about a young man who's in serious doo-doo:
A 23-year-old Marine accused of faking his own disappearance to avoid returning to his unit is scheduled for a court-martial Friday at Camp Pendleton, California. Lance Hering faces an unauthorized absence charge that carries a sentence of up to a year in a military prison and a bad conduct discharge. He was arrested 16 November at an airport in Port Angeles, Washington, after allegedly staging a climbing accident in August 2006 and deserting from the Marines. Hering, a lance corporal and Iraq war veteran, was on leave from Camp Pendleton when he disappeared. His attorneys say he was about to surrender to the Marines shortly before his arrest. Hering also is wanted by the Boulder County Sheriff's office on charges of false reporting and for allegedly violating his probation from a 2004 attempted burglary conviction.
Rico says Hering will be longing for that discharge...
