Let's get one thing straight

Rico says the whole Caroline-Kennedy-as-replacement-Senator furor has gone on long enough. Everyone's weighing in on her credentials, or lack thereof, to take the Senate seat vacated by Hillary Rodham Clinton, so now it's Rico's turn:
Hillary Rodham Clinton's public service prior to being elected Senator from New York: none.

Hillary Rodham Clinton's credentials: she had a law degree from Yale, following her BA from Wellesley.

Caroline Bouvier Kennedy's public service prior to being appointed Senator from New York: none.

Caroline Bouvier Kennedy's credentials: she has a law degree from Columbia, following her BA from Radcliffe (now part of Harvard).
Rico says that, so far, they're even, except that Caroline didn't have to sleep with Bill to get where she is today, nor did she engage in other possibly illegal behaviors (like trading in cattle futures or investing in Whitewater) nor serve on the infamous Watergate impeachment committee. But maybe she's reviving the 'vast right-wing conspiracy' to oppose her... (At least she can't be accused of 'carpetbagging', since she was born in New York and has lived there most of her life.)
Rico says that, in the best of all possible political worlds, Kennedy gets appointed and Clinton doesn't get confirmed...
