In the latest installment of "so, what's it like in there, Rico?", I'm trying to further refine my definition of my perception of the world.
I've been using 'it's like being drunk', overheard at the Angioma Alliance conference, and that's still a truism, but I'm working on a more truthful if imprecise word picture.
What I've come up with now is that delightful Anglo-Irish word gobsmacked, which is the strange sensation of disorientation when you get hit in the face and your teeth rattled, but just before the pain sets in. Sort of like being really drunk, only without the pleasant parts.
That may not be the perfect definition yet, but I'm working on it...
Suggestions welcomed.
