Quentin Tarantino is directing a war movie, Inglourious Basterds (sic), starring Brad Pitt as the leader of "a group of Jewish-American soldiers who scalp and brutally kill Nazis."From the Tarantino site: Here’s a little quote from the much quoted Aldo Raine opening speech: “I sure as hell didn't come down from the goddamn Smokey Mountains, cross five thousand miles of water, fight my way through half of Sicily, and then jump out of a fuckin air-o-plane, to teach the Nazis lessons in humanity.”
Rico says he'll be there when it comes out. And kudos to Tarantino's crew for using water cannons to fend off the papparazzi on one of the sets in Germany. But only Tarantino would cast these folks together in a war movie: Brad Pitt, Cloris Leachman, Diane Kruger, Mike Myers (as a general, no less), Rod Taylor (a veteran actor in several war movies), and a bunch of people Rico never heard of...
