The New York Times has an article by Sarah Lyall and Jacob Bernstein entitled The Transition of Bruce Jenner: A Shock to Some, Visible to All:

Though Jenner, a 1976 Olympic gold medalist, has not confirmed it, he is widely reported to be in the midst of making a transition from male to female (photos).
