ThreatExchange joins together several high-profile companies in a platform where they can share information about cyber-attacks or hacking threats with one another, but also between select groups or specific individuals, according to ThreatExchange. Early partners for ThreatExchange include Bitly, Dropbox, Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter, and Yahoo.
“Threats like malware and phishing typically go after multiple targets, and a successful attack at one place usually makes it easier to take over systems elsewhere,” according to Facebook. “We share in each other’s fate."
