Wintry precipitation in and around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Columbus, Ohio, and Indianapolis, Indiana may result in slick road conditions, reported the Weather Channel. Swathes of Indiana, including Indianapolis, are likely to remain under ice-storm warnings until Monday morning.
The broadcaster also reported that the New York City, New York and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania metropolitan areas are likely to get hit with freezing rain and snow throughout Monday morning until the afternoon.
Further south, the National Weather Service warned of rain and possible thunderstorms in the Carolinas.
The latest surge of Arctic air this winter is likely to continue plaguing the upper Midwest and northern Atlantic states at least until the middle of the week, according to forecasters.
