Pink diamond reaches record price at Sotheby's

The BBC has an article about a really expensive diamond:

A vivid pink diamond has broken a new record at auction after it sold for $17.8m (£11.07m) at Sotheby's in Hong Kong.
Chin Yeow Quek, Sotheby's deputy chairman for Asia, said the auction for the eight-plus-carat diamond "was quite a big thrill".
