Rico says there won't be any local fireworks (per the Boss), but you should celebrate, as John Adams put it in 1776:
The second day of July, 1776, will be the most memorable day in the history of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated by succeeding generations as the great anniversary festival. It ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forevermore.
Letter to Abigail Adams on 3 July 1776); because of the official adoption of the
Declaration of Independence two days later, the fourth of July,
rather than the second, became known as Independence Day.
