Apple stores in the U.S. will be temporarily closed Wednesday, as employees take part in a company-wide memorial for Steve Jobs, according to Reuters.
Apple will hold an event in honor of its iconic co-founder from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Pacific Time. Shortly after Jobs passed away earlier this month, new CEO Tim Cook promised employees that a "celebration of Steve's extraordinary life" would take place soon.
A company spokeswoman was unavailable to comment, but many stores in California weren't scheduling appointments for tech support or tutorials for Wednesday morning.
Staff members will reportedly view a live broadcast of the event, which will be held at an amphitheater at Apple's Cupertino campus. Given the time difference, employees in Asia and Australia will be able to watch a re-broadcast of the celebration.
