Given that, in Rico's lifetime, we had Brown v. Board of Education, years of civil rights activities in the '60s, the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, and the King assassination in 1968, it's still head-shakingly amazing that, in 2008, a mere forty years later, we elected a black president.
Some people are still getting over the shock...
