In a new low in campaigning, General Wesley Clark (not a huge success as a soldier, in my less-than-humble opinion; see his history on Wikipedia), acting as a spokesman for the Obama campaign, dinged John McCain's ability to be commander-in-chief by saying "I don't think riding in a fighter plane and getting shot down is a qualification to be president". Clark, who ran for president himself in 2004, was shot one month into his service in Vietnam and never saw combat again; he served as a staff puke ("one of the Army's best and brightest") until he ran the 'war' in Kosovo. He was forced out of the Army in a political dogfight in 2000.The McCain people are right; Obama should refute this bullshit.
