Apple said Jobs will convene the company's annual Worldwide Developers Conference on June 9 at San Francisco's Moscone West. Many observers believe Jobs may use this venue to unveil an iPhone with a much faster data connection, dubbed 3G for "third generation." AT&T reportedly plans to subsidize $200 of the cost of the next-generation iPhone for consumers who sign up for a two-year service contract. That would lower the price to $199.
Rico says he doesn't know (or care) if they're going to give a trade-in for an existing iPhone, but he'll go for the 3G as soon as it's available (and then the 4G the following year)...
