Seems the sculptor who did the statue of Dr. King for the memorial in Washington. being Chinese, used to do sculptures of Mao. As a result, the United States Commission of Fine Arts feels the figure of King is "still and confrontational", and they want it redone. (What a surprise...) The commission, whose approval is necessary for the project to proceed, recommended that the sculpture portray Dr. King as a more sympathetic figure.
Rico says, by all means, redo the damn sculpture. And this time, sensibilities be damned, pick a good African-American sculptor to do the job...
