In preparation, he thought he'd look up, using the magic of the internet, some of his old stomping grounds. The old house, on Matadero in Palo Alto, looks like they're doing some work; the pool is new, as are the solar panels on the garage. The elementary school, Barron Park, looks much the same, as does the high school, HM Gunn.
Rico already knew that they'd turned his junior high school, Terman (named for a famous Stanford physicist) into an office park.
