Not quite like shooting fish in a barrel

Seems the incoming satellite has a forty-inch sphere full of hydrazine in it, and that's liable to survive reentry.
Now, Rico's no rocket scientist, but hydrazine falling on your head is probably a bad thing.
To solve the problem (and maybe, just maybe, test out a little ballistic missile defense system at the same time), they're going to try and hit it upon reentry with an ABM missile fired from a ship in the Pacific.
Rico wishes them well, but this is not a simple task. We've hit warhead-sized targets (this satellite is apparently the size of a school bus, so it will show up well on radar) before, so this one might actually work.
The US, however, has pledged to compensate any country damaged by the descending satellite...
