Tunisian officials say at least nineteen people were killed in a terror attack in Tunis, seventeen of them foreigners. Two gunmen have been reported killed as well, and a third may be at large.Rico says these people gotta problem...
Uniformed attackers armed with assault rifles and grenades have killed at least eight people and possibly many more at the Bardo Museum in Tunis, including one Tunisian and seven tourists; The New York Times says Tunisian state media reports that ten hostages have been taken as well. CNN is reporting that two attackers have been killed.
The Bardo Museum (photo) is adjacent to Tunisia’s parliament building, where legislators were discussing terrorism legislation, the BBC says.
Tunisia was the site of an al-Qaeda attack on a synagogue in 2002 that killed nineteen, and the country reportedly contributes more foreign fighters than any other nation to jihadist groups in Iraq and Syria.
