Rico says that he and the ladyfriend and our upstairs neighbor went to see The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. The iMDb review is short and sweet: British retirees travel to India to take up residence in what they believe is a newly restored hotel. Less luxurious than its advertisements, the Marigold Hotel nevertheless slowly begins to charm in unexpected ways.
Starring old pros like Judi Dench, Tom Wilkinson, Maggie Smith, Ronald Pickup, and young ones like Dev Patel (of Slumdog Millionaire fame), the movie charms in quite expectable ways, however.
