What will they buy next? (No, not NeXT, next)

Ed Vogt over at ear.net has the latest rumors about Apple and its acquisitions:
Many are guessing that Apple will soon buy one or more media and electronics companies. Leading the list of possibilities are Sony, Adobe, Yahoo, and Disney. Interesting to ponder the impact on Apple and its future priorities. Apple has been many things over the past decade: computer company, mobile devices ecosystem, consumer electronics manufacturer. Next year?
Christmas is coming, and what would you buy for $51 billion?
Here's a quick shopping list as compiled from recent articles: Sony, Adobe, Disney, Netflix, Yahoo, Electronic Arts, Facebook, Sirius XM, TiVo, SanDisk.
Stay tuned for more details as Apple starts to spend their estimated $51 billion in cash reserves. My guess? A media or content related company would fit nicely into the Apple crown jewels collection. Netflix?
Rico says, for those who've forgotten (hey, in computer years it was ages ago), this is a history of NeXT.
But they could buy Rico (lock, stock, and smoking barrel) for a small percentage of fifty-one billion... (Not that they would, but they could.)
