Things Rico didn't even know he had

According to Wikipedia, anosognosia is "a condition in which a person who suffers disability due to brain injury seems unaware of or denies the existence of his or her handicap" and confabulation is "the confusion of imagination with memory, and/or the confusion of true memories with false memories".
According to Dr. Janet, who should know, Rico has both.
Rico says he had at least heard of confabulation before, but not the other thing. He'd been accused of committing confabulation, even before all this, so that's nothing new. But denying his handicap? Weird...
