Another anniversary we missed

Rico says he saw it, from both sides, when he ended up in Berlin in the summer of 1969. It was pretty grim then. When the East Germans announced that its citizens could leave without difficulty, that spelled the end of the wall. From East and West, people chipped away at it. It was later, except for ceremonial pieces in museums, bulldozed into history.
In his own Zelig-moment, Rico's friend Dan Rampe (from his days at Claris) was present, quite by accident, for the Fall of the Wall, and thus Rico has a piece; it's just a piece of concrete with some spray paint on one side, but it's got a lot of meaning to him.

Rico says he's been reading this book, and it's amazing what all went on; he was just nine when it went up, so there's a lot he doesn't remember, but he never thought he'd see it come down in his lifetime...
