Royal officials say Britain's Prince William plans to become a full-time search-and-rescue pilot in the Royal Air Force. Twenty-six-year-old William learned to fly earlier this year during a stint with the air force. He has also served with the Royal Navy and is an officer in the British Army.Rico says it is good to be the prince, but it's harder than it looks...
Clarence House says William will transfer from the army to the air force. He will fly Sea King helicopters with an RAF search and rescue team.
William's regiment deployed to Afghanistan this year but for security reasons he was not allowed to go with them. He said Monday that search and rescue work would allow him to serve in the armed forces operationally.
