Wired has an article about the recent hack job a city employee did on San Francisco's new fiber optic network.
Rico says they'll have to start requiring multiple users to make these sort of changes in future, rather like the two-key system that NORAD has for launching missiles... (Though Rico's favorite hacker story remains that of Stanley Mark Rifkin, who almost got away with it.)
