History for the day: 1993: Waco standoff ends

On 28 February 1993, a gun battle erupted near Waco, Texas, when Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives (BATFE) agents tried to serve warrants on the Branch Davidians; four agents and six Davidians were killed as a fifty-day standoff began.
