Gubs for the day

Frank Kummer has an article at Philly.com about a gub tragedy:

A four-year-old Toms River, New Jersey, boy shot his six-year-old neighbor in the head last night with a rifle, police confirmed this morning.
According to Police Sergeant Robert Rankin, authorities were called to investigate a shooting about 6:40 p.m. Monday on McCormick Drive.  They arrived to find the boy, six, had been wounded by one shot. He was flown to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune and was in stable condition.
Details were few, but the incident occurred in the four-year-old's yard where he apparently got access to the .22 caliber rifle. It was not clear how he got the weapon, nor was it clear if the boy pulled the trigger purposefully, or if the firearm discharged accidentally. The boy's father and mother were home at the time.
Police said they were not sure if there were other children in the yard at the time, and are still investigating the incident.

Rico says it's a bad thing, but it is New Jersey... All kidding aside, it is a terrible thing and, if they changed the law so the gub owner did the time for the minor, it would slow this shit down...
