A mixed review, Rico says; he writes beautifully (he is a published poet, after all), but the book takes a long time to get to the meat of the story. About half the book is from the point of view of the women (it's a major plot point in the book; Rico won't spoil it with why), which is always a hard thing for a male writer to pull off, but Sheers seems to get it right (given that Rico's a male reader; if you're not, your view may be different). Rico says he got it from the library, so there's no financial incentive to finish it, but he'll get there...

Resistance isn't futile, but close
A mixed review, Rico says; he writes beautifully (he is a published poet, after all), but the book takes a long time to get to the meat of the story.
