When knives are criminalized...

...only criminals will have knives.
Seems a Japanese guy 'tired of life' decided to drive his truck into a bunch of pedestrians on "a main thoroughfare that had been closed off to vehicles for the day in Akihabara, the main district for electronic goods in Tokyo and a magnet for fans of Japanese anime and manga comics", and then got out and started stabbing people with a 'survival knife' (whatever that is; probably a big-bladed thing, sort of the knife equivalent of an assault rifle; if it's got a scary name, you can make it illegal).
Seven people died and eleven were injured.
The suspect is in custody.
