Time magazine has an on-line article about the feud between Spike Lee and Clint Eastwood over the blacks-at-Iwo Jima dispute: "In Flags of Our Fathers, which shows the landing in significant detail, African-Americans appear only in fleeting cutaway shots and in a photograph during the film's closing credits."
Rico says, given that they were less than one percent of the troops involved, that seems fair...
