Rico and his fianceé went to see The Hero, in which an ailing movie star comes to terms with his past and mortality, starring the inestimal Sam Elliott, whose mellifluous voice and magnificent mustache Rico tries to emulate:
Lee Hayden is an aging Western icon with a golden voice, but his best performances are decades behind him. He spends his days reliving old glories and smoking too much marijuana with his former-co-star-turned-dealer, until a surprise cancer diagnosis brings his priorities into sharp focus. He soon strikes up an exciting, contentious relationship with stand-up comic Charlotte, played by Laura Prepon (photo below)and attempts to reconnect with his estranged daughter, all while searching for one final role to cement his legacy.
