Saw this photo essay (only two shown here) about a hyena cornered by five African wild dogs. Actually, he escaped very easily. As it took place on the edge of a river, the hyena just walked into the water and sat down. Apparently, wild dogs are so leery of crocs, that they won't even wet their paws. What I found most interesting was the brindle-patterning on the dogs and the broad white plume of a tail. I've never seen dogs like these, ever. I want one.
