The large quantity of blood on the boat where Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was hiding in Watertown suggests he might not have survived for much longer. It’s likely Tsarnaev had been bleeding from gunshot wounds in the neck and leg for some twenty hours before he was discovered, according to CBS News’ John Miller. That is when Dzhokhar took part in an intense gun fight with police that ended up killing the other suspect, his 26-year-od brother Tamerlan.
Photos released by authorities suggests "this is a guy who was very weak at this point and probably— had he not been discovered— might not have lived," Miller said.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev “clung to life” Saturday morning, according to ABC News, although it’s unclear how the network knows this, considering the FBI has asked the hospital not to give any updates on the suspect’s condition.
