Parlimentiary elections in Iraq are being held next week, and the country is seeing a spike in politically-motivated violence. Car bombs killed at least eleven people yesterday and seven people two days ago; today, a reported three bombs exploded at a Shi'ite group's rally in Baghdad, with a Reuters photographer, Thaier Al-Sudani, capturing the moment of one explosion. At least eighteen people were killed.
