A mother's wisdom

Rico says his mother always delivered the same aphorism on this date:
"The first of May, the first of May, outdoor fucking begins today."

That, of course, was because she grew up in a small town in rural North Carolina, where it's warm by 1 May; not true in, say, Maine or Montana...
