Are they kidding?

Rico says that, based on the new Kindle DX he lusts after, he thought he'd check to see what's happening with Kindle books (as his Transit of Venus is available on Kindle for a mere $4.95). There are, as expected, a lot of books available for the Kindle now (over 111,000, according to Amazon, who should know). Amazingly, given that all you get is a bunch of bytes, the highest price book is $288, for a copy of Percy Bysshe Shelley by James Barcus. The hardcover edition is $360, which doesn't make the Kindle edition cheap, but at least it's more; you do get an actual book for the extra eighty bucks, though...
