Someone sent me a link to this clip from Boston Legal in which William Shatner deals with a mugger in a most unCaptain Kirk-like way. When I passed it on, I got this in response (he was kidding):
Now look... we just can't have these poor, oppressed people getting cut down in the streets! Where was his Miranda rights? I mean, hey... if we all had guns, then well-heeled white CEOs would be gunning down these poor 'boo's in every city in this land.
To which Rico had to respond, of course:
